Pre-school education and upbringing
61050 children are brought up in 667 preschool educational institutions of the region. Coverage of children aged 3 and 6 years is 100%. 2 private kindergartens with 85 places and one state kindergarten with 140 places in Kyzylorda city opened in Aral and Kazaly districts. The share of private kindergartens is 72% of all kindergartens. 165 kindergarten teachers took advanced training courses. By the end of the year, extension courses are planned for 615 educators.
153 502 students from 293 schools completed their school year. Of these, 5,754 students completed 11th grade. From May 28 to July 7, graduates passed state exams in 5 subjects. According to the results of the state final certification, 406 graduates became winners of Altyn Belgi, 264 graduates were awarded the «Uzdik attestat» certificate. 4143 (72%) graduates took part in the Unified National Testing, which was held from June 21 to 26. This is 5% more than in 2018. There are no three-shift schools in the region. KZT 500 million from the republican budget for the construction of a new building in emergency school No. 169 in Zhanakorgan district. For the construction of school number 34 in Zhalagash district, KZT 100 million was allocated from the local budget. Public services (hot meals, hiking, admission to the 1st grade school) were automated. In this direction, KZT 24 million were allocated from the regional budget. In the 2019-2020 academic year, grades 4, 9, and 10 will switch to the updated content of education. To purchase textbooks and teaching materials, KZT 1.7 billion was allocated from the local budget and agreements were signed with 15 publishing houses. KZT 15.7 million has been allocated for the delivery of textbooks and related work is underway. In 2019, 261 students from 6 schools took part in TIMSS international studies. Over 100 pedagogical seminars were organized to participate in methodological events organized at the republican level. 3,500 teachers have been trained; since June 1, the summer season has begun in 9 health camps. (6 for 3 years and 3 season). It is expected that about 10 thousand children (about 9542 children) will rest. In addition, 96 000 children rested in school camps. As of July 1, 80,906 students (54.6%) were covered by summer vacation. As part of the «Rukhani Zhangyru» program, 9 regional events were held and 1,500 students were enrolled. In order to develop inclusive education, 48.5 full-time specialists were allocated to schools. For these purposes, KZT 83 million was allocated from the regional budget.
Orphans and children left without parental care
According to the second quarter of 2019, there are 851 orphans in the region who are left without parental care, aged 0-18 years. Of these, 758 children are brought up in a family (659 in guardianship and guardianship, 99 children in foster care), 93 children study in educational, health and social welfare institutions for orphans and children left without parental care. In recent years, there has been a downward trend in the number of boarding schools. For example, in 2013, 187–190 children were brought up in such institutions, and today their number has dropped to 93 children, and it is expected that this will lead to a further reduction in their number. In addition, three children from boarding schools in 2019 were transferred to raising a family. Two of them returned to custody (1 from the kindergarten, 1 to the kindergarten) and 1 child in the family of social services. 25,255 children from low-income families receive hot meals in 275 schools in the canteen, with the exception of boarding schools in the hostel and 5 in the buffet. At the same time, more than 100 thousand children are fed at the expense of their parents.
20985 students are studying in the region in 29 institutions of technical and vocational education in 97 specialties with 167 qualifications. For the first time in the field of vocational education in 2014, an education system based on dual education technology was introduced. Currently, 3,500 students are studying in 24 colleges in 78 specialties. In addition, modular educational programs in 48 specialties were introduced in 25 educational institutions. In March 2019, a regional selection competition was held for 17 employees of the National Championship under the WorldSkills Kazahstan project to identify participants in the regional selection. The winners will take part in the national championship in October this year in Nur Sultan city. In March 2019, the state order for the preparation for vocational, secondary and vocational training was carried out by order of the regional akimat and placed in educational institutions on a competitive basis. As part of the Year of Youth, a project called Young Specialist is being implemented in the region. In our region, a list of 10 colleges implementing the project has been clarified, and specialty areas have been identified. Modern equipment of educational institutions participating in the project will be provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RK.
