Akimat of the region, together with the territorial divisions of law enforcement agencies, constantly conduct outreach activities aimed at strengthening interfaith harmony in society, preventing the spread of ideas of non-traditional religious movements and a comprehensive explanation of state policy in the field of religion.
In this regard, the qualitative composition of outreach groups whose activities are aimed at the prevention of religious extremism and terrorism has been changed and re-approved (Decree No. 463 of July 11 2014). In total, there are 13 groups in the region, consisting of 128 people (10 groups, 71 people in 2013), supplemented by highly professional civil servants, qualified theologians, religious scholars, representatives of public and youth associations, sports, as well as prominent public figures.
So, in the current year there has been an increase in the number of participants covered by outreach activities in the field of explaining the problems of religions. If in 2013, outreach groups conducted 356 events with the participation of 15 thousand people, then over the first half of this year, more than 17 thousand people participated in 215 events.
Similar personal explanatory work is carried out in correctional institution No. ZK-169/5 with convicted persons for extremist activities. As a result, one of the 8 convicts announced his renunciation of unconventional ideology, about which a special plot was shot.
At the same time, 157 religious associations are currently operating in the Kyzylorda region. In particular, 143 branches of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, 1 Orthodox Church, as well as 4 religious associations of Christian Baptists, 2 "Presbyterians", 1 "Jehovah's Witnesses" and 6 associations "Fifties".
There are no changes in the activities and the number of members of religious associations related to the above denominations.
In addition, from the beginning of this year, information and educational booklets on the ten most acute problems in society in the amount of 45 thousand copies were prepared and distributed to residents of the region.
In order to increase the residents' knowledge of religions and maintain religious stability in the region, 6570 copies of religious literature on traditional religious ideas were distributed to mosque bookshelves and distributed to adherents of non-traditional religious movements.
