On the implementation of the
«Regulation of the Syrdarya River Channel and Preservation of the Northern Aral Sea» project
It was decided to start implementation at the expense of the republican budget 4 components of the project “Regulation of the Syrdarya River Channel and Preservation of the Northern Aral Sea” out of 6 required to ensure public safety.
In order to accelerate the implementation of the project for the comprehensive repair of Kyzylorda, it was suggested that the RSE Kazvodkhoz, as the asset holder of the facility, develop the design and estimate documentation for the comprehensive repair of the Kyzylorda hydroelectric facility at its own expense.
For components, strengthening of protective dams in Karmakshy and Kazaly districts, straightening the Syrdarya river bed in Korgansha and Turumbet areas of Zhalagash district at the expense of the regional budget developed design and estimate documentation.
These components are included in the Government-approved Roadmap “Package of measures for the prevention and elimination of flood threats for 2017-2020”.
According to the component, the construction of a bridge near Birlik settlement in Kazaly district in 2018 at the expense of the regional budget developed a feasibility study of the project in the amount of KZT 20.9 million.
After the development of feasibility study and design and estimate documentation, the bridge will be built at the expense of the republican budget.
In addition, when updating the regional budget on August 8 2018, funds were allocated for the development of a feasibility study for the project “Preservation of the Kokaral dam and restoration of the Syrdarya river delta” and certification of water management facilities under the component “Restoration of the Kamyshlybash and Akshatau lakes system”.
